Medical Office Assistant
I hope to be in an entry-level positions as a Medical Office Assistants. This would allow me to get hands-on training on the variety of administrative tasks key to the overall functioning of a doctor's office while I pursue my A.A.S. As a Medical Office Assistant I will may be responsible for all office duties, including accounting, billing, charting, medical transcription, patient scheduling, and filing insurance claims. Medical assistance is a growing field with good job prospects, especially for those with formal credentials.

Entry-Level Healthcare Administrator
At the 5-year mark, I am aiming to be within my last semester of an undergraduate program studying Healthcare or Medical Administration. It is my goal to either be in a managerial or executive Medical Office Assistant or be starting a new position as a Healthcare Administrator. As a Healthcare Administrator, I would assist with the management of clinical and administrative procedures. To succeed in this role, I need to have in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminologies.

Mid- or Senior-Level Healthcare Administrator
Once I hit this milestone, I hope to have an MBA in Healthcare Management. I would also like to be a mid-level Healthcare Administrator with a big company, or a senior-level at a smaller company.

Becoming a Healthcare Management Professional is my ultimate goal. I leave the exact title as vague as possible because depending on my experiences up to this point, I may shift my opinion on what kind of facility or practice I would like to pursue this step in.
